Viking Offshore will be Positive about Motorsport for the 2024 season, with all their sponsored drivers competing with their competition-related carbon emissions offset by Carbon Positive Motorsport's new offset your season package.
Building on their work together in 2023, this new partnership will cover six Viking Offshore team supported cars for Fergus Barlow, John McCrone, Scott MacBeth, Brian Ross, Brett Mackenzie, and new junior driver April Blair who starts her motorsport career this year.
Viking Offshore have risen to prominence with several high-profile results for their drivers during 2023, the most notable being Fergus Barlow’s stunning victory on The Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally.
For 2024 the company look to support initiatives that help make rallying more accessible to competitors through a funding initiative launched this year. The initiative, launched by Fergus Barlow for the 2024 Mull Rally, will also be supported by Carbon Positive Motorsport and is the first of its kind in the UK, with a focus on giving back to the sport.
Announcing the partnership, Viking Offshore Managing Director Damian Brecon said, "Through our partnership with Carbon Positive Motorsport, we have successfully offset the carbon emissions from all of our vehicles and equipment used during the Mull Rally. This achievement not only underscores our commitment to sustainability but also plays a crucial role in preserving the breathtaking environment of Mull for generations to come.
