This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the collective effort of over 700 competitors, across 19 events, 12 major championships, and eight countries, spanning eight disciplines.


Thanks to your support, we’ve offset 125% of the emissions generated—ensuring not only immediate reductions but also a positive contribution to six United Nations sustainability goals.

Why Offset with Carbon Positive Motorsport?

Carbon Positive Motorsport has become known for providing 125% positive levels of future offsetting using only the highest quality Woodland Carbon Code verified carbon offsetting projects in the UK.


Now we’ve designed an innovative offsetting solution tailored specifically for motorsport competitors. Using government-approved carbon conversion factors, our model estimates emissions based on fuel consumption, offering options to offset one, two, or three tonnes of CO2e. Each tonne represents approximately 430 litres of petrol—a typical range for most competitors during a season.

Our approach combines immediate carbon reduction units from verified overseas reforestation projects with future offsets from UK-based Woodland Carbon Code projects. This ensures emissions are offset now and again as UK projects mature and become fully verified, doubling the positive impact.

To generate this offsetting level through four carbon offsetting projects, it has taken over 700 different competitors, competing in 19 different events, within 12 major championships, across eight countries and eight motorsport disciplines, using four different types of fuel. This huge effort has generated additional carbon capture, as we've offset 25% more emissions than were made. We've also positively contributed to 6 United Nations sustainability goals.
