Inessa Tushkanova returns to European Rallying with Carbon Positive Motorsport on the final TER series round Rally Terra Sarda. Competing in a Skoda Fabia R5, she will have her competition-based carbon emissions offset by Carbon Positive Motorsport.
The high-profile Ukrainian driver and model has competed successfully before on many international events and is returning to the sport after several years away. Together with French co-driver Jessica James she will be seeded car 18 for the Sardinian event, and has a plan to return to European rallying for a full season in 2024.
Inessa Tushkanova's return to European Rallying rallying comes after a period of supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, where she has been particularly successful not just in raising funds, but also being hands on with organisations and initiatives to bring help where it is most needed.
Inessa said "I am more than happy to be a part of this amazing event, in a stunning location such as Porto Cervo, with an all-female crew and a R5 car. With a heart full of joy, I wish all the best and a nice event for all the competitors and spectators. I want to say a special thank you to the organisers and look forward to continuing with the TER in 2024."
She added "These last years I have been in heavy depression because of the war. I found a retreat with Ayhuaska, and its changed my life! I got a true awakening and realised that we destroyed everything around and we abused nature. And that is how I asked myself a question what about motorsport? Then you contacted me to represent this completely amazing initiative and collaboration between nature and motorsport. What is a proof more that all is connected!
Carbon Positive Motorsport director Steve Smith said, "I have worked with Inessa over several years when she was regularly competing, and we have remained in close contact ever since. She approached us last year to look into how we could support her to put together a programme in the future.
