Recognising the need to make motorsport more sustainable, Formula G and Carbon Positive Motorsport are working together to mitigate the carbon footprint for all rounds of the championship in 2022.

Steve Smith, Carbon Positive Motorsport CEO, said, "It's great to see that Formula G has successfully offset four of its six championship events so far in 2022. Rounds three and four were run as a double header at Brands Hatch last weekend, with wins going to Mantas Sliogeris (RWD) and Dmitrij Sribnyj (AWD) on both days."

John Birrell of Formula G, added, "Carbon offsetting is one small step we can take to invest in the future of motorsport - if we don’t consider our environmental impact today, we won’t be able to race tomorrow. That’s why Formula G is partnering with Carbon Positive Motorsport to minimise the carbon footprint of the Championship. For each entry, Formula G will be offsetting the drivers’ fuel usage - at no extra cost to the drivers.

John continued, "At the start of the season we had five novices, and all five returned for rounds three and four, which is testament to how addictive this sport is!

"We will be back at Santa Pod on October 22/23 for the championship decider, but beforehand we will be at Coventry’s Motofest over the weekend of September 10/11th, so come and say hello and see what Formula G is all about!"
