Condor Motorsport Club marks its third year of collaboration with Carbon Positive Motorsport

The Kinloss rallies form two rounds of the Back to Roots Tarmac Championship, which is dedicated to keeping motorsport affordable without compromising on meaningful environmental action. In 2025, Condor MSC will expand its successful partnership with Carbon Positive Motorsport by incorporating The Memorial Garden Stages into its carbon offsetting roadmap.

The Kinloss Rally has earned a reputation for long, high-quality stages without splits, making it a firm favourite among competitors. We caught up with Sam Ollis to discuss the club’s incredible work and the Autosave Components Kinloss Rallies.

Condor MSC: Q&A

CPM: Looking back on 2024 – what were your season highlights?

SO: Without a doubt, seeing the Autosave Components Kinloss Spring Rally sell out in just four hours! Running three successful rallies and seeing so many happy competitors was also a huge highlight.

CPM: The Back to Roots Championship is known for offering great value for money. How do you make that possible?

SO: As competitors on a budget ourselves, we make sure to offer venues that we would be able to afford to enter. That way, we keep costs down without compromising the quality of the events.

CPM: Why is sustainability such an important part of your events?

SO: Every little helps! We know how important it is for competitors to minimise their impact on climate change, and carbon offsetting allows us to do just that. One of our venues is adjacent to an eco-village, and the fact that they are happy for our rallies to continue running gives us confidence that we’re taking the right approach.

CPM: With such a small team, how do you manage to run such high-quality events? What’s your secret?SO: Tom is passionate—some might say obsessive—about rallying! Tom spent over 20 years dreaming of a rally at Kinloss while serving in the RAF. Through sheer persistence and conversations with successive station commanders, he finally met one who was also a petrolhead—and the rest is history!

Condor are introducing longer, redesigned stages at Kinloss, with 75 stage miles over six stages in March

CPM: Looking ahead to 2025, what can we expect from Condor MSC this season?

SO: We’ll be running two Kinloss rallies in March and November and RM Condor in September, with the latter two taking place on slightly different weekends this year for various reasons. We’re also continuing to reinvest profits from Kinloss into further surface improvements at Condor. For 2025, we’re introducing longer, redesigned stages at Kinloss, with 75 stage miles over six stages in March - all with no splits or merges! Additionally, we’re strengthening our connections with local businesses near our venues to give back to the community and further enhance the sustainability of our events.

The 2025 Autosave Components Kinloss Spring Rally  will take place on 22 March 2025.
