Cat and her longstanding partner, rally driver Andy Rowe, will head to the Isle of Wight for the Jon Dyer Memorial Island Stages on 21st August. The Isle of Wight Car Club are aiming to recreate the clubman spirit of the original Island Stages rally which ran from the 1960s through to the late 1980s. The rally is the first to take place on the island for 30 years and the stages are predominantly grass and gravel tracks through both woodland and grassland. Although not a forestry event, it should prove challenging and gives the opportunity to drive stages which have never been driven before.
Cat told us "We are very happy to support this new event, and of course all our fuel for travelling down and on the rally itself will be offset through Carbon Positive Motorsport. We'll be staying for a few days to explore the island and enjoy a break before I get back for the next round of the Junior Rally Championship."
She returns to the mainland to sit alongside 14 year-old Dan Taylor in his Lotusbits run Citroen C1 on the Rainworth Skoda Dukeries Rally at Leconfield on 28th August. "This is a relatively local rally for me and it will be great to get back out with Dan. I was gutted to have to miss his last rally through work commitments, but it will be interesting to see how he's improved after Weeton where he finished 7th in the Juniors."
Immediately after the Dukeries rally Cat will be packing her bags for a long awaited return to the Omloop van Vlaanderen with historic Mini driver Kevin Haselden. "With Covid obviously I haven't been able to get over to Belgium for a rally in a while, and I am thrilled to be going back to do Tour of Flanders with Kevin. I've done the event a few times now and it's fabulous, plus Belgium is like a second home and I'm looking forward to catching up with all our Belgian friends."
