Ashleigh Morris extends Carbon Positive Ambassador Role

2021 Scottish Ladies Rally Champion Ashleigh Morris is to extend her brand ambassador role with Carbon Positive Motorsport, to help make motorsport sustainable.

Ashleigh Morris and Carbon Positive Motorsport announce the extension of her brand ambassador role for the 2022 season and renew their shared purpose to help make motorsport sustainable through reducing its long-term environmental impact.

Ashleigh Morris joined with Matt Edwards last year to work with Carbon Positive Motorsport as they launched their brand during the 2021 season. As well as successful competitive seasons, with Ashleigh winning the Scottish Ladies’ title and Matt taking his third BRC title, they both successfully helped to raise awareness within motorsport for the need to take positive action to help make the sport and the environment sustainable for future generations to enjoy.

Paul Glass, Founding Director of Carbon Positive Motorsport said: "From day one Ashleigh has been incredibly committed to our purpose and objectives, because she genuinely believes in what we are doing, and the risks that face our sport. Her professionalism and energy has been a great help to us in launching our brand last year, and we have been in awe of her ambition within the sport and the way in which she gets involved in so many ways, both as a driver, co-driver and now also as a rally school teacher.

"I think many aspiring competitors can learn a lot from her dedication and passion which is so evident in how she and her team approach the sport, and in how she applies herself to working with companies such as ours."

Steve Smith – Director of Carbon Positive Motorsport commented: "We're so grateful to Ashleigh for being part of our story. I hope our partnership continues to grow and strengthen in the future, as she has a lot of skill, ambition, and years of success ahead given the right backing.

"We look forward to some very special activities planned over the next 12 months with Ashleigh and our other ambassadors, which will be a tremendous boost for us and the sport."

When asked about her plans for 2022 Ashleigh said: "I’m competing in the SRC again this year and looking forward to a full season after the recent covid disruption! I’m passionate about encouraging more women into rallying, and sustainability in motorsport through my work as an ambassador for Carbon Positive Motorsport – it’s crucial to the future of our sport."
