Jock Armstrong extends Carbon Positive partnership

Multiple SRC champion Jock Armstrong to extend his partnership with Carbon Positive Motorsport in 2022 to help make motorsport sustainable.

Jock Armstrong will start his campaign for Scottish Rally Championship success on next week’s Snowman Rally, using his Subaru Impreza for the event and his carbon emissions offset by Carbon Positive Motorsport as part of a season long partnership.

Paul Glass, founding director of Carbon Positive Motorsport said: "We're really pleased to be supporting Jock in this year’s Scottish Rally Championship this year by providing him with carbon offsetting and team clothing, using our exclusive Positive about Motorsport range of clothing made from 100% recycled materials.

"It’s great to continue from last year, where he supported us through our brand launch in his Fiesta. I’ve always admired Jock, not only for his fantastic driving skills, but for his love for the sport and commitment to helping the sport at all levels. He is a great ambassador for rallying, and a popular competitor. For me he embodies what rallying should be about – accessible, skilful, competitive, with a sense of fun.

"I think someone like Jock carries a great deal of influence within the sport and with fellow competitors. He has worked hard to get where he is in the sport – most times I try to reach him, he’s usually working – so despite being at the top of our sport I’m sure he still values what it takes to get there, and why its important we take action to protect the sport and the environment for the future generations to enjoy."

Steve Smith, Director of Carbon Positive Motorsport added: "It's great to see his co-driver Cameron Fair secure a place in the Motorsport UK Academy, which helps develop the UK's most promising drivers and co-drivers with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to maximise their performance. The environmental agenda, and awareness of how motorsport must adapt, is an increasingly important part of a competitors make up for the future."
